BMW Malaysia lowers vehicle prices citing GST
BMW Malaysia Sdn Bhd, the Malaysian branch of the German
premium automaker, is revising the prices of all its BMW
and MINI vehicles lower by up to 1.9%.
The BMW
Motorrad will be lower by up to 18%.
In a
statement today, the premium automaker said the revision
was to transfer the benefits gained from the
implementation of the goods and services tax (GST) to
customers.
The company delivered 1,729 BMW, MINI
and Motorrad vehicles in the first quarter of 2015.
"This performance is in tandem with what we have
observed in the Malaysian auto industry due to over
speculation on pricing post-GST," said managing director
and chief executive officer, Alan Harris. |
